How come India has learn to live with democratic features for the last sixty years and you havent. To all the hindu fundamentalists who use this site as your home ground, I would like to inform them that the credit for that goes to Jawaharlal Nehru..yes, for all his problems and weaknesses, he was a great democrat at heart, and managed to make India a great democracy, which all of us can gloat about. Sorry, but an RSS chappie or a Narendra Modi at the helm then and we would have had a similar general..(Modiraff ?) ruling us...In fact we probably would be ten nations by now...

Its only because of people like our nation does not know the true meaning of secularism and democracy. For India, secularism means appeasing muslims. Giving government jobs for the terrorists. Its absolutely licking their a$$es for their support during election. Modi might be a reason behind Gujarat riots. Who cares...? I would genuinely likely to know Vasanth, where does someone like you, pikc up this information from.. that government jobs are going to terrorists ( I didn't here of any suicide bombers among government officials !..have you ??)..for you killing 3000 muslims is okay as long as Gujarat is silent.. isn't that the kind of thing which leads to retaliation in other places..Now if you say "What about Kashmiri pandits ''..please !!! as someone pointed out, these are just lines from RSS / VHP functionaries.. if you want to understand their plight, read and give data..not generalizations.

Credit to indian democracy goes to Hindus,Sikhs and Christians of India. Also the fact that we don't have Muslims in majority plays a big role. Wherever you have Muslims in majority democracy fails. Out of the 50 islamic countries we don't have a single democracy, although there are Rich countries like Saudi,Kuwait etc. and poor countries like pak,bangla etc., in africa, southest asia etc.Islam is the only common factor among all these undemocratic countries, so why can't we say that Islam and democracy are not compatible
