Transport In Bangaluru
by nilam sinha on Nov 03, 2007 02:36 AM   Permalink

It was bound to happen...the city has boomed on economic fronts but with complete lack of transport system, security and other infrastructures.
The economic boom has created a very well demarcated economic class and the gap between the different classes based on economy is huge.
The most notorious category of people in Bangalore are the Auto driver, the bus drivers and conductors and the house owners.
I am speaking this out of my personal experience in the city for last 4 years.
The law are not strict or not properly enforced or completely absent to tackle these people .
The result is increase in crime, murder, sexula harassment and coersion of money from people.
Immediate strict measures must be taken by the police and the state otherwise the day is not far when the system is going to collapse.
The autowalas & bus conductors are gundas. They harass the lady passengers sexually and physically..but still the authotities lay a deaf ear to these incidents. The house owners rent their houses based on the fact whether u are IT or not nad the sum for deposit they ask is simple terms extortion. It is such a common occurence with so many house owners creating problem to return the deposit at the end of tenure. But still the police do not take action against them or there no law at all to tackle them.
Hope any person in the goverment authority in Bangalore reading these post take some action to improve the scenerio.
