indian states don't need nai dillie imposed governors serving nai dillie's interests. state officials must serve state interests, period. the people should be able to elect a governor also thr' their state legislature or better yet by straight popular voting. this state elected governor would then step in when needed just like the president does vis-a-vis federal govt. the state high court could have a role in this too. we most certainly, however, don't need nai dillie's shenanigans in the state matter, specially the southern states.
