It takes money for any organization to function. And it is general tendency that a non-profit organization and its money matters are always looked down upon. The Art of Living is an exceptional organization that does not have donations as its main source of income and most part of its expenditure comes from the fees they collect by teaching courses. In my opinion, a middle class person should be able to afford their fees; and in this matter often individuals realize the fact that the teachings of the courses are well worth the money spent after actually taking the course.
However, it has to be noted they also arrange courses for free through out the world for the people in need in calamity struck regions.

The fee is charged in cities only. That is used for programs like this in Vidarbha. The courses in villages are offered FREE of cost.

Giving money for the course is like helping oneself with the benefit of yoga plus helping others in time of need.Eg tsunamy victims, kashmiri earth quake victims and now vidarbha farmers.
