Plight of India
by Rahul Punjabi on May 11, 2007 01:42 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Do you mean BJP cares for Brahmins/upper castes by supporting reservation?

Congress/Samajwadi are serving India by increasing Haj subsidy and more funds.Although the Kashmiri Muslims dont feel comfortable in India but Muslims from rest of India are very patriot, you want to say.

There is no OBC reservation in Kashmir.

They have not given the citizenship to the SC/ST who came to Jammu region from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir but have given right to Kashmiri Muslims from PoK who have relatives in Indian Kashmir.

Those SC/ST are for God sake Hindu, so they should suffer. Kashmiri Brahmins have been cleansed from Valley.

No Hindu can ever imagine to become Chief Minister of J&K even if he is OBC/SC/ST, not even in Punjab where Hindus form 30% and 40% respectively. But Congress has made Christian Chief Ministers in Kerala and AP where Christians are 20% and 2% respectively. Muslim Chief Minister in Maharashtra with 10% Muslim population, a Sikh a Prime Minister where Sikhs form less than 2% of population.

I respect kind heartedness of majority for providing chance to the people from minority communities, but should not it be a 2-way street?

dont speak about kerala when you dont know how things work there. It is not kind heartedness but qualification which is taken into account. Christian or Muslim or Hindu as chief minister does not matter as long as they are not corrupt or inept. For that matter, one of the only non-corrupt politicians I have heard of is A.K.Antony who was twice Kerala CM. You cannot divide people based on caste and religion in places like Kerala, which is why communist ideolegies still persist there.

Very well said...sikhs form 2% of population very true.so they should only get 2% share of the country thats what you are saying.india is a country of more than 100 crore people so you should only get one/100 crore share of national income of india.

Is sikhs contribution for making india independent, preserving its independece and contributing to growth of the nation only 2% ?

gurpreet - don't get upset yaar... some clueless fellow shooting an irrelevant message does not make any difference to patriatic Indian of any cast/relgion. Let us now forget that India is a sovereign democratic nation and public verdict is the final say. like that Parcys are the minimal population..does not mean that they cannot become prime minister or president..

India has been a country in many aspects for other countries to larn and follow... for example, Sonia being an Italian origin, is the President of the largest poltical party of India...and public accepted her and even wanted her to become the Prime Minister... of late, in the United States Indians are getting elected to white house, which was not a phenemenon some time back..

Ultimately, we are all INDIANS or HINDUSTANIS or BHARATWASI whatever you call..
