From what i gather mayawati is no muslim lover. She alloted more seats to brahmins this time because most of them were with her(unlike several of her own and other caste members) when SP poached BSP seats few years back. So there is a firm brahmin-dalit partnership and added to it a significant portion of OBC's who voted her this time. This is clearly hindu consolidation which BJP has been hardly trying for but Mayawati succeeded. Most of Muslims voted for SP and that's why it still got nearly 100 seats even with the anti-incubency riding against it. Muslims will realize in the coming days that BSP is another BJP and even more lethal than the latter because it has a base vote. So less or no room for muslim appeasement.

Tony,In next elections, Yadavs will also vote for BSP. So, Mulayam can start applying for citizenship of Pakistan/Bangladesh to pursue a political career there. He can take his chelas there with Him.

Bhaskar babu, you don't seem to belong to UP. Only thing she( Maaya) is doing openly is making money- LOT OF MONEY.
