BJP and BSP represent two waves of Indian awakening. Hindu awakening and consolidation of Hindu forces by awakening the excluded groups and making them a part of the larger revolution underway to revitalise the ancient civilization. Muslims will play a marginal role in these scheme of things. Secularism is not for Asia. India is the last bastion of this imported secularism in this part of the world. Hindus will remain secular anyway but bit more aggressive too. Mayawati did a great job by ushering in new equations to consolidate and strengthen the indigenous culture - through dalit inclusion of brahmin and other hindus - though she had to do it out of compulsion of vote bank politics, she still did pull the great trigger herself. I don't know what Ambedkar or Kanshi Ram dreamt, but she is doing something different. RSS needs to make deals with her.
In our part of India, Brahmins wear a sacred thread.
VHP should organize a programme in every school where every Hindu student whoever goes to school should be given that thread in a ceremony as they are coming to seek knowledge -attribute of a Brahmin.
That will be better for society than many things vHP doing now.

How many Brahmin's have personnaly treated u badly? Hope you are nor psycologically affected because a brahmin guy is competing and getting successful at work and u r defeated by him in merit. Or Though u were ready to give 20 lakhs a brahmin guy took the seat in merit!!
Is it ur complex that make u speak bad abt brahmins or a blind slogan "Brahmin's treat oterhs differently". I dont wonder if they treat u differently...what reservations have they got? Where r they praised nowadays? They r surrrounded by ppl with complex. So as long as ppl have the tought in their mind "Brahmins treat other's differently" they will be treated in their mind always.
And all student who go to school should get the BE,Medical seat in merit. NO RESERVATIONS....

@Radhika: I don't know whether you are really a "brahmin", or somebody faking identity here. Lot is people do that in the net to confuse people.
Anyway, crux of my argument is, caste as seen as heriditory is a psuedo identity/ Neither it has religious sanction.
Its one of the Varna whose qualities will have to be earned before calling himself a "brahman".
That's my understanding after reading Vivekanand, or Gandhi's writings.
This is bare minimum euality hindus will have to establish, otherwise it will be very difficult to sustain Hinduism as it faces huge onslaught from organized semitic religions.

The selection committee dominated by Brahmin members coolly supports its community members. Exam papers are passed coolly to the candidate, question asked in interview are passed on to the candidate. But I appreciate the community works together and nothing gets disclosed.

Also, all people who go for job interview should get selected. No community based RECOMMENDATIONS...
Swami Vivekanand spoke about coming "Shudra Revolution" some 100 years back. Next thing to happen is, Sanskritization. Give them respectful position in, a much denied share in the whole scheme of things.
This "caste" has to go, and non-heriditory meaning of "Varna" has to be established.
"Just by birth alone one doesn't become Brahmin. By his actions alone, one becomes brahmin"
--This spoke Buddha some 2500 years back.
Kick the butt of ignorant Brahmins or whoever treat people lowly because of their birth.

Bhaskar chattopadhya is psycologically affected because he was defeated by a brahmin friend in his school and now in work. So he is telling bad abt brahmins. This is nto a place to talk ur personal experience sir. esp beacause a brahmin boy defeated u in merit...Keep ur complex to urself. The same to all who r jealous of brahmin's talents and success in their life with NO RESERVATIONS..

Bhaskar was not defeated by his brahmin friend, but his was defeat was engineered by his Brahmin teacher. And in his Job interview he was defeated by Brahmin interviewers and selection committee members.

100 years are over. How many more years are required to bring the change. Dalits are being USED by political parties dominated by upper castes. We hope that Mayawatis, Karunanidhis will elevate to centre stage of Central politics.
