smita,
though i am not SC/ST/OBC, i have great respect for Dr. Ambedkar and consider him a noble person. But, in the name of a noble person, please dont say or spread divisive things. I dont think Ambedkar himself would like it. He was a man of vision and a true Indian at heart and soul. It is sad that, in his name, you talk of the glory of maharashtra as opposed to the rest of the country. please dont do it

I think u are illeterate. I dont know what greatness u see in ambedkar. His policies have pulled back india in terms of growth. regarding illuminaries from bengal. i must say that there are countless excelling in all fields possible. i know that u are aware of a lot of them and naturally feel jealous. since u brought up ambedkar, did he really take part in the freedom movement. have ur little-brain ever registered a name called subhas chandra bose. u may not know but ur premier road (the marine drive) is actually named after bose. beat that.

Tell me one politician of note you have produced after Ambedkar, who besides being a marathi was a product of the Indian Independence movement. MS Smita are you outta your minds, I mean Gujarat produced Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Ptel, by far the most influential and best politicians we have had. Do you see them talking abt that, EVER. No wonder they are one of the best states in the country. FYI I am not gujarati, I am bihari and I dont look at India as Maharashtra and Gujarat. It is India first, all stateism later.
