Well, after the event has taken place, there would be many to justify why it happened. But it is not to be forgotten that more than 50% of the people did not vote. They are the people who are otherwise well off and do not bother who comes to power. The people who voted are interested in the process of govt formation and believing that a right govt can change the fate of the masses. Majority of them felt that a change is required. This is what N.T.Rama Rao did in 83. But he failed after some time because he did not know the art of administration. Hope Mayawati will fare better because she has some experience.
