Democracy has failed in UP
by Senthil Gounder on May 11, 2007 05:25 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

When only 46% (Less than half) of the population participated in the election, I think, the democracy has failed in the state.

I think, BJP need not worry about this. If it had ensured that its voterbase reach the polling booths, then it could have won very easily.

BJP should create new leadership in UP to make a dent in the coming general or the next state assembly elections. It should work from now. Congress has no life remaining in the state and BJP can work for long term strategy. BSP and SP are individual led parties. BJP is strong cadre led party and it's strength is it's organisation like communist parties.
