Why thse people be given any consideration? Does the law think, they will ever get repentence or get reformed in their life time, after the prison sentence. Life sentence in India means only 7 yrs in Jail and everyone knows that anyone who spends 7 yrs in Jail becomes more professional, in crimes. Is 5 yrs - 7 yrs (Life sentence) is the right punishment for these hardcore criminals, who are responsible for killing 100s? And a Police Officer, who has killed a noted terrorist, who is probably behind Godhra Train burning etc, already noted criminal, is made to run around courts, suspended and will be given death sentence, shortly. No wonder, Police people dont discharge their duties properly. Behind every crime, there is some MP,MLA, Minister or Local Politician involved and Police have to obey these noted criminals. No wonder common man has lost any hope in the legal system.
