You see the sheer body of his work: Deewar, Sholay, Zanjeer, Trishul, Mr. India, Main Azad Hoon, all of them with great humanistic message and progressive thoughts. India needs people like that and not regressive thinkers and hate-mongers like RSS. I am also appalled by the lack of basic intelligence by many in this forum who ask whar about the policemen who get killed and their family. THEIR KILLING HAS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED AND THE FIR FILED AGAINST THE CULPRITS. But the murders of Sameer Khan and Kausar Bai have not been acknoeledged and their killers have not been apprehended. THat is when you need human right activists to act. When the state is failing in its duty. Not when the state is alrerady acting. Just because Sameer Khan is a criminal he cannot be murdered in cold blood. If that is the logic, so many leading politicians, and their sons whose crime is puiblic knowledge should be bumped off, instead of we having candlelight protests. I am surprised this forum is populated by so many barbarians and anti-Indians who do not respect the contribution of our founding fathers like Gandhi and Nehru.Without them there would be no Indian nation but 100 different states.

SArdarji did the excition of unuifivcation..the bullwork. But the brainwork had been done by Gandhiji. It is his padyatra across the nation, his message of satygraha that reaxched every village in India, his declarationof Ishwar allah Tere Naam,these are what buld the concept of Indian nation in the minds of people. Nehru wrote Discovery of India while in prison which is a must read for evry Indian who wants to have a proper perspective of ths great culture. What was the Rss doing all this while? Traitors, opportunists and narrow=minded bigots who will turn India back by centuries!!
