The author needs to think outside the box and without his usual caste and religious bias. This is a historic moment and not only majority Dalits, a few Brahmins, a few Muslims but a majority of non-Yadav OBCs have voted for Maya. People who did not vote for her in the past as she was using the divide and rule agenda of Mulayam and BJP voted for her this time around. Now Maya is taking about building bridges between people and that too outside the religious and caste context. She is talking about the common man's actual problem and hence she got the votes. In the past BJP seemed to be more concerned about Hinduism and maintaining the ancient archaic customs rather than making the lives of people happy. Mulayam was following the doctrine of destroying the nation in cahoots with criminals and anti-socials. Both of them got the boot in addition to the geriatrix congress.
