The only party which can make a difference to UP as well as India is nothing but BJP.Its the only party with intelligent heads who donot play vote bank politics by introducing Reservations and other unwanted things.I think time has come that congress alternative should hole the power again...Cheers BJP.

Congress, SP, BSP, DMK, RJD and all other parties who are showering reservations for almost all communities (except Brahmans), are infact doing a disservice to these communities. Therefore please donot think that reservation is a service or favour to these communities. The real service is getting them educated, for which we need to open up more and more schools, colleges, appoint good quality teachers, improve the standards of education, etc. Concessional rates of fees, books and notebooks at concessional prices for economically weakers sections (irrespective of caste/community) so that more and more people get quality education and come up in life. This is called the real progress/betterment.
I am sure BJP has not done any major harm to any community during their regime. However the socalled 'pseudo secularists' have been doing a lot of damage to many sections of the population by offering free lollypups like reservations.

anil - Reservation is not a permanent solution for any cast..there has to be an end of reservation to bring everybody at par as far as education is concerned. by keeing and fighting for the reservation we are not only degrading the candidates but also providing the opportunity for a brain drain leading to India's backward journey. In what way the reservation in educational institutions (particular higher educations) are justified? I can understand if reservation is provided in elementary and secondary school to bring them up in society and to ensure a minimum education is provided to every citizen on India - but I am against reservations in higher/senior government posts and higher educational institutions.

KARUNANIDHIS GOT Rs250 CRORES to buy two planes. Why not spend this money for the OBCs and why all these crocodile tears for OBC? Is it to fool them, make some more money and buy four aircrafts????!!!!!! If all the Moneu earned and wealth of Politician of TAMIL NADU are taken away- Tamil Nadu can have TAX HOLIDAY FOR 12 Years.

Are you aware that reservation is not an issue in South India. And you will be surprised to know that there is 74% reservation in Tamil Nadu and other states. Yet they are more literate and cultured than North Indians. And by the way, even BJP supports reservations in whatever form.

The BJP is the biggest culprit. It always wants polarisation of hindu voters in its favour that is why it brings out CD, talks about mandir, cow and wala wala during election time and looting muslims and raping muslim girls and women during riots. BJP was in power in UP for over eight years alone and with Mayawati for over 1.4 years, what wonders it did? a big zero in the name of development. The power situation in fact worsened during its time when it sold three most modern power plants in U.P. forget of setting any new one. No development of industry, yes it only tried to develop Lucknow to some extent because the big buddha represented it in Lok Sabha.

sham - while I am not a BJPian, nor of any party, somehow I get a feeling that a party like BJP can only withstand the pressure of muslims and protect Hinduism/Hindus in Hindustan. If there have been no party with an idiology of BJP, who openly pronounce support for Hindus, I wonder what would have been the state of Hindus in their own country... If Muslim League like parties can openly come out with religious agenda and votes and get affiliated with a major secular party, then what is wrong in creating and making a government of Hindu idiology party?

they are the worst communal parties. CPM has created a separate district in Kerala for Muslim and they are responsible for growing minority communalism in Kerala.
CPM has a great role in dividing the Kerala society on communal lines. They are the most worthless people. The idiology of communist itself is outdated. They should dismantle the party as the current socio-economic condition in any state in India is no condusive for communist movement. The idiology is as good as dead.

I doubt the credibility of BJP but it will rule India with majority someday. It has some issues in West Bengal about bangladeshi infiltration, Assam same issue and christian conversions, Andhra - christian conversions and takeover of temple properties by government for use in mosque and churches, Tamil Nadu - ram sethu, Kerala - Hindu suppression and their frequent killings. These are the states where BJP has virtually less presence till recent times. They makeup more than 160 seats in Lok Sabha. BJP would most likely make a headway there by next ten to fifteen years. Congress without sonia is a dead party. Communists can survive and give a formidable opposition to right wing parties if they adapt to new changes and make their ideological affiliations left of center instead of being extreme left. Regional parties will vanish by then.

king c, farmer suicides wer rampant in NDA rule too. The reason why UPA is in center now is because thousands of farmers committed suicide during rule NDA partner - TDP and the party was wiped out in 2004 there. Congress got 35 lok sabha seats from Andhra and the nearest to it is 25 seats it got in Gujarat. Rest of your points are weak arguements.
