India is not strong enough to go against US interests. For all those people talking of US depending on India bullshit. Guys it is not US , India is dependent on US, US can replace all those NRI techies from another countries, thats not big deal for them. Imagine if all the foreign countries pull out their investments from India..? we will be begging on roads . It took some 7 hrs for all foreign countries (U may say there are investments from other western countries also, but they will go with US)to take out their money from Philippines in 90s. The Best thing India can do is choose a path where India can go with out effecting US interests and Indian interests. To hell with Iran, what did they do to India..? Did they ever supported us in Kashmir issue..? Iran is not enemy of pakistan also. For the gas pipe line, Iran is not coming down on prices. when they never done any favor to India then why the hell we need to take un-necessary risks and headaches. If all we need is natural gas from them, then we can try to find it in our shores.we need to be like China which is not dependent on any country. we have to become self sufficient in all fields then we can dictate terms to other countries. Till then dont be in a fools paradise that, we are strong, great bla bla bla. we are still a developed country and 50 years behind the developed countries in infrastructure and administration.

we indian always live in past .there is no comparison between us and iran .our million of people r employed only coz of us not coz of iran .iran always supported pakistan in matter of kashmir and these communist still comapare iran with usa .our 75% of IT export is to us.thousands of indian students r studying in us .one of biggest trading partner .but this ups govt always give more importance to there political interest then national interest .and just for few minority vote they have no clear policy towards iran .and these communist knows only one thing how to go against national interest .they dont understand the difference btween india and us our total economy is abt 1 trillion and us economy is of 13 trillion .just imagine with 25 % of our population us have 13 times bigger economy .so its always in indias interest to maintain a gud relationship with US

Imagine if all the foreign countries pull out their investments from India..? This is against the basic principals of doing business. Why would businessmen withdraw investments and incur losses as well as lose an opportunity to make huge profits in future. I dont think that is a bargaining chip for US but it definitely is a bargaining chip for India.

Pull out investments from India AND close their markets for imports, sounds scary. There goes exports and IT and BPO guys.
We have to be very very prudent so as to 1. Extract maximum benefit in the current circumstances. 2. STOP premature bragging of being "superpower" and foolish ideations of going to war with US. 3. Work where we get benefit. If is US, EU, China, where 90% of our exports go, these regions have to be given priorities against marginal states like Iran.
And THAT gas pipeline passing through Pakistan is a BAD idea.

Mr abhi,
They are investing in India because Indian economy is the 2nd fastest growing. If they pull out from India they are also going to loose out on earning huge returns. As far as dependence is concerned, this is a case mutual need for each other. India needs US but sodo they. They are such self centered people that they would have never offered the nuclear deal if they did not need India. So stop talking like a chicken shit.
