1. It explicitly creates hierarchy among Indians which is against Article 14 ie Right to Equality. 2. Parents covertly preach their children to coerce other children as per the above hierarchies.

my dear friend, most religions do this in some form or other.
go thru the history of religions in a balanced mind, you will understand most religions have done this. one group of men suppressing other group has ALWAYS been the case with humans (even some animals exhibhit this trait):
- In the middle ages, the church was the supreme in europe and countless people have died at the hands of church; galileo was threatened; copernicus was afraid to publish his book; and countless stories are there. - You know the count of american-indians killed in the name of 'americanization' ? - Moslems have killed others just because others were not moslems and even now Iraq is suffering from a great sunni/shiite divide. - Buddhists too have been involved in politics now and then - In fact the non-religious Communism has a greater history of suppressing others and killing others.
Face it friend, its the basis of human nature. blaming religion for this only shows the short-sightedness.

I fully agree with Venkat. Infact, Hinduism is a way of life that every human being should be proud of. There was so much thinking in creating the classes. I just don't want to waste your time in explaining all those things. One thing is sure ... Hinduism is a way of life and not a religion and it should be seen as defining the roles and duties of a person thereby contributing to the society.
The reason why so many people talk bad about Hinduism is because of their lack of knowledge of why our ancestors created the classes.
With fire, you can shape an ornament. You can also use it for destruction. So, it all depends on how you want to use it.
If you start thinking about why the classes are created and what's the duty of each class, then I'm sure anyone can see the wisdom of our Sages.
