I am strongly in the favor of decision from the Supreme Courts stay order on 27 per cent quota for OBC%u2019s in elite educational institutions.
Students from IIM%u2019s, IIT%u2019s, and AIIMS are proud of India. These are the people those represents India outside to the whole world. If a sub-standard reserved candidate doctor passed from AIIMS can endangered the life of a patient. People from IIT%u2019s , IIM%u2019s are the leaders of the country, these are the people those are going to give direction to India%u2019s growth. How you can compromise on the quality of the people on that levell!!!
Today these institutes have reputation world wide. If newer methods of sub-standarising the system kept on coming than by the year 2020 these institutes will loss its whole glare in world and country will struggle its stand in the world competitive markets.
India is booming & country is in dire need of quality people those can put force in the growth of the country. Today country needs people who can render quality services. If country does not value the quality people, then these will not stay in the country. And brain drain is going like anything.
Statement from our politicians like Arjun singh, V P Singh and M Karunanidhi in the favor of reservation are strongly condemned. In the wake of notification passed by Supreme court, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MR. M Karunanidhi, said the apex court verdict affects the rights of Parliament and was a setback to the socially and educationally oppressed sections of society. I want to ask them it%u2019s very good that they want to uplift some part of society, but how its justified to uplift the one by suppressing other.
This system is not fair to the non-reserved categories. Reservation is believed by the people those know country only by caste and creeds that exits 300years ago. This will divide the country further on the basis of newer lines & do nothing else. Today country is in need of more rational approach instead of following policies those segregate the country.
I am saying that these people don%u2019t need up-liftment. But up-liftment can be given by the ways of stipends, free education and better facilities. Giving raises by reserving seats is not a rationale thinking and acceptable. Let the people from OBC%u2019s prove there caliber to have this kind of premier education.
Reservation rules will not do anything good for the country. Instead it will start a horde for the people to become backward. In today%u2019s era there is dire need for the country to get forward, instead going the other way? Vivek Garg (Ludhaina)
