Kattarpanthi does not translate into rabid communalist
by syed rahman on Mar 29, 2007 11:01 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

I fear the author does not really know Hindi. He translates Kattarpanthi as rabid communalist. The word simply means fundamentalist.

The other big mistake he and every other commentator seems to be making is the habit of generalising Muslims. The truth is Muslims on the ground are as or more divided as Hindus among all political parties including SP, BSP, Congress, BJP to an extent and now all the new mushrooming community based political organizations. I don't gives these community parties a chance as Muslims dont have a history of voting for their community organizations.

You can never write off Samajwadi Party.

SP will ally with BJP soon...Both are siblings seperated at birth and waiting for unification.
I think Obnly genuine option for Muslims is Congress ..forget how efficient they are..
