Nandigram - is it an issue?
by Debjit Adhikari on Mar 26, 2007 03:18 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Is all those involved in writing about & fighting for Nandigram really concerned about the fate of the villagers. What does Mamata Banerjee want to establish by not allowing people to put up Industries on agricultural land. Where are these so called politicians when the villages are flooded or drought claims the lives of the hungry villagers? If these lands are given to big scale industries can any one explain how can it be worse than the villagers plight now. The poor villagers have to pay for the internal bickering of different parties trying to make hay when the sun is shining. Why isn't any one mentioning Laxman Shett who is trying to sabotage Buddhababu's image? Why are the Naxals, who are partially responsible for inflaming the villagers, not being quizzed? No one loves the state more than the CM.
