Double Edged Sword by Ibrahim Sheik on Mar 25, 2007 05:22 PM | Hide replies | Hide message
Should be very careful, But it helps a lot for getting Votes. I remember Vajpayee giving a speech in Coimbatore, TN in last election. He was seperated by 50 m away from the crowd and he was talking Hindi, nobody had any impact on his speech. Atlast the Communist won the Coimbatore constituency. So it is very important for Politicians to mix with public but at the same time maintain security. It is a Double edged Sword...

Don't say Vajpayee's speech did not have impact on anybody. It was the people who intentionally ignored his speech. As it is, down South, they hate Hindi & want to have it their own way by speaking only their Southern language. And still they talk of Nationality. So much forbeing an Indian..

So speaking Hindi will make you a national, while preferring your own mother tongue makes you anti-national?? :-(

Hey Thankur, Stop abusing south Indians. I and my family have been BJP supporters from Even BJS days. We never waivered even when BJS used to get only a few thousand votes. I have learnt Hindi and wrote So many Rashtrabhasha Exams not to please you my dear friend but I really want India to be one. Apart from Abusing south tell me, what have you done? Hum Garv se Kehte hain hum Bharathiya hain.
