I read the entire interview and one thing that I can glean from this interview is that no matter how educated or facilitated u r, the feeling of animosity and comparison doesn't go away. The interviewer was asking objective questions, how ever the answer were as usual wrapped in the India vs Pakistan cover. Didn't like the tone of answers, especially from such an educated person who refers to a subset of the Pakistani population as "Elite" however when it come to India it becomes "You Indians", this shows that some poeple can still talk like school kids even if they have studied at King's College London.

Good observation! In my dealings with the Pakistanis overseas, I've observed that at a social level things are OK (you either get along or don't just like with any other nationality), but no matter how "liberal" don't mention Kashmir. Another observation unrelated though is that very few actually claim to be indigenous , this is my small sample set of taxi drivers and people that I've met socially. A large majority claim to be from Saudi Arabia and think of Indians as an inferior race. My 2c.

Hi I am sure it is identity CRISES , my guess converted Muslims and so the problems continue, ask the Pakis what they think of India ................they are bitter about 1971 ?why I am sure the only way to solve the problem is to redefine the border as HINDUSTAN , the one before partition by BRITS Please note there was no PAKIS before 1947 , why have one now ? to destabilize the region, who created north and south Korea ? former Vietnam, etc Wake up and lets join hands togather and be one SUPER super POWER, Sam

Hi Rathnam Yes, i do agree that there was no PAKI before 1947. since then world has changed so much as India and Pakistan. It is very true that the large and single HINDUSTAN (India, pakistan and Bangladesh) does not exists any more. wake up. Accept the truth that we no longer ONE and in future cannot become ONE singe nation. It is better to be as seperate countries rather than thinking of Uniting them. Think of West German's plight after the merger of the two countries.

I also have similar experience while living and working in Middle East for more than a decade.
