What i have read and understood from various sources that brain uses more than 90% of oxygen we inhale. Now assume this as 90%. When we exercise we inhale more air and hence more oxygen say 150% but still brain uses 90% oxygen so during exercise the oxygen supply to brain increases and thus exercise helps brain. There was no proof of this earlier but now some one has proved it to be correct.

Then how come some most intelligent people smoke? They inhale CO,CO2 etc and brain does not get any good amount of Oxygen. Still they say that it helps them think more smartly...Is it their excuse for smoking?
