Bengalis are very much INDIANS dear , the first revolution started in INDIA against British Empire was from bengal only.To say that states like maharastra,gujrat.t.n, etc farmers giving framing lands to govt the major reason is they are beniffitted from that amount because cultivation is not very successfull bussiness in that part of india but as per north india & east india is concerned tthe cultivation is major source of livelihood for rural areas as the climate & land always support it.We from west bengal are not against industrilization but you know this ego full buddha deb bhattacharya is not ready to compromise on this singur issue that he is not ready to give opp road land (of same area but notcultivation) to TATAS as those land are not cultivation & the expense of establishing factory on that will be 25% more than the current .So what will you now say? Instead of pocking nose from outside first learn what is actual than say anything. If god is their & i know he is their than it will be beginning for end of an era of which people from bengal are waiting for long long time.bye buddha hope not to se you again .good person like woolmer meet the tragic end but god knows why people like jyoti, buddha, biman , ashok ghosh, stay till 90'S.

Dear All,

Don't think that I don't understand the problem. Industrilisation and growth will always cause good for many and bad for some. By alloting 100 acres of land will not make India beg for food. The farmers are influenced by local 'picky-pokey' politicians to create problems so that they wins electios. Basically, farmers are being used in this issue.

When US was witnessing growth in 60's and 70's, the same issue was dealt with clear vision that farming land is neccessary when it is neccessary for large scale manfacuring development.

WE Indians are the WORLD Champions in digging our own failures. Nothing more to say.

May God bless all. (If someone is there somewhere like that)
