it is very bad, that people had to shed blood for sake of industtrialisation. my sympathies with the families. I am not from bengal but I am opposed to the project, because I want all growth and industrial, IT etc; to happen only in my neighbourhood--south and west. this incident will roll back bengal to 1990s.. bengal people dont deserve growth.

How stupid and selfish of you.You want all the growth to happen around you ! India still lags because of selfish morons like you. As for Nandigram , first arrest the people who instigated the uprising. They are the same people who played dirty politics in Singur.These people with very few seats in the assembly are trying to gain political mileage through others blood. Though killing innocent villagers is highly condemnable- civic administration should be allowed to function.

Nonsense, Pramit, even you should know that there are barren land masses in large quantities where these industries? can be located. However, the interests of both the corrupt politicos and industricos is to have access to the most desirable locations from different states so that their profiteering can continue. An environment can always be created to suit any prospective venture and does not have to be over so many dead bodies.

Yes, we all deserve growth and those villagers deserve poverty, diseases, hunger & dealth. One day they will demolish your house (if there in Kolkata or anywhere) to make a big road or overbridge, then U'll realise what industrialization means. At that time, we all have sympathies with you. Great thought. keep it up.....
