Nandigram: Jaliwanwalabag of independent India
by on Mar 15, 2007 11:48 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Even if the villagers would have tried to escape, they had no way out. It is understandable the level of fear of losing everything provoked villagers to defend themselves

But

%u2022 Why police had to shoot women and children?

%u2022 Why CPIM cadres were also in the battlefield?

%u2022 Why media was stopped to cover the incident?

%u2022 Why such a hush business if things were ethical? (People only hide sin)

%u2022 Why industrialization in WB only needs bloodshed?

I feel ashamed to call myself Bengalee. First let%u2019s be little more humane

Is Nandigram a seperate nation ????...whr police cannot patrol !!!!.... For kind information to all ..the police were not able to enter Nandigram from last 30 days... Whatz dis ?? U cannot hv ur own Independent nation status dere ...!!! I am sure the marginal farmers in India meet the same fate... malnourishment...disease ... under heavy debt and finally suicide.... look at Maharastra , Andhra . The industrial development is the only panacea to all ills. MAMATA and some irresposible rascals are pushing Bengal to become another Bihar...with no employment oppurtunity and plenty of cheap .. exploitable labour for other states , if not already there. I feel sad for West Bengal... such a self destruction is seldom seen.
