Nandigram - The Tinanman Square of West Bengal
by Rajagopal Harihara on Mar 16, 2007 04:00 PM   Permalink

"CONGRESS PRESIDENT SONIA GANDHI HAS EXPRESSED DEEP CONCERN OVER THE RENEWED VIOLENCE AT NANDIGRAM IN WEST BENGAL WHERE A SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE IS PROPOSED TO BE SET UP".
A funny bit of statement, is it not?
Here is an out right state attrocity on innocent poor farmers, and the UPA president coolly calls it a violence as if the people ther have resorted to violence.
She is afraid of calling it Stae's brutality which could be compared to the Jalinawallah Bagh and Trinamul.
Madam Sonia is afraid that the Left would pull out and her propped up Government which is supported by Satraps like Karunanidhi and the like would just crumble.
Instead of calling it state brutality and asking for imposition of President's rule in WB she is trying to divert the mionds of the media.
If she has nay real love for thje poor as she proclaims she should ask the W B Governor to recommend President's rule immediately. istead of going after Mulayam.
Will sho do it. No never. Power is sweeter than the poor peoles problem
