Singur no economic reform
by Prem Kumar on Mar 12, 2007 10:34 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

LOL - Good joke Samik. You must be a "REAL" economist. Are you doing justice by calling farmers as smart economist, who knows what is better? Who gave you the right to decide on their behalf sir? Are you in Singur and know the real struglle, before you point finger at others???

Isn't it a simple Logic? When there is protest, even after your Buddha baba, tried to control & oppress everything, clearly shows that fight is carried out by poor farmers???

You call me Commie when you are blindly supporting your Marxists Government? Funny Dude.

Also, you want employment oppurtunity developed in a land which is prosperous and cultivates thrice an year? Why not in a Barren land, you WB kinda economist? Why Mr. Tata is hell-bent on Singur? Can you explian? Also, can you answer why 997 acres of land for lesser output cars while Hondo in US makes twice the output for 1/3 land?

Isn't it bloody selfish of yours to think that you need employment while farmers can take a hike? Industrialization in place of Agriculture will not take India to development, only to destruction.

Coming to employment, you have any idea how many jobs it will create? Have you seen prior examples on these industries??? Also, Tata has only accepted around 50 youths in training now and none have them have been guarenteed jobs yet.

Well, you are after all doing loyalty to your corporate companies and so commie-turned-capi Govt.

Dear LoveKumar

I must answer your questions before I retire for the day - after that your literary gems would miss my learned comments.

Are you doing justice by calling farmers as smart economist, who knows what is better?
yes - farmers know what is good for them - a majority of them have sold out.

Who gave you the right to decide on their behalf sir?
I didnt decide - the farmers decided themselves - they sold out - a majority of them.

Are you in Singur and know the real struglle, before you point finger at others???
I am at least near Singur - where are you????

Isn't it a simple Logic? When there is protest, even after your Buddha baba, tried to control & oppress everything, clearly shows that fight is carried out by poor farmers???
Ans: No all fights happen when Mamata and her entourage go there by cars. When they dont - it is by and large peaceful. There are stray instance - but minor.

You call me Commie when you are blindly supporting your Marxists Government? Funny Dude.
Not funny dumbo - this is the reality - The Commie are adopting free market - and Mamata has veered to the far left. Her forums are now regularly attended by Naxalites.

Also, you want employment oppurtunity developed in a land which is prosperous and cultivates thrice an year?
The price offered is more than what the land will give. The farmers know best - thats why they sold out.

Why not in a Barren land, you WB kinda economist? Why Mr. Tata is hell-bent on Singur? Can you explian?
Because Singur is by a 4/6 lane highway that connects Delhi/Mumbai and Chennai. It is also near the railway line - with connects onto the planned freight corridor. Access to Airport would be easy once the 4 lane highway and new Hooghly bridge connect Airport to Dankuni.

Also, can you answer why 997 acres of land for lesser output cars while Hondo in US makes twice the output for 1/3 land?
Because the idea is to setup a full autocomponent complex - not just the car plant.

Isn't it bloody selfish of yours to think that you need employment while farmers can take a hike?
I didnt force the farmers - they sold. They knew best. Who am I to guide them?

Industrialization in place of Agriculture will not take India to development, only to destruction.
WRONG - this had to happen.

Coming to employment, you have any idea how many jobs it will create? Have you seen prior examples on these industries???
YES - look at Pune - Telco and Bajaj spurred growth. Today it is called the Detroit of India.

Also, Tata has only accepted around 50 youths in training now and none have them have been guarenteed jobs yet.
If they are good they will be - Bongs are good at this stuff -so dont prejudge

Well, you are after all doing loyalty to your corporate companies and so commie-turned-capi Govt.
Communism is dead - Capitalism is alive - and it is natural for Commies to veer right. Only loonies like Mamata will go the other way.

I answered you point by point - now I am retiring - so long....LoveKumar - Make love not war.

Again Samik, you are good at escaping than answering. When you have tried to answer other questions at least with some logi, even though untrue, but your answer to farmer's rights and decision is atrocious.

You just simply escape by saying that farmer's decided and it was their decision. You know as well as me that they have not accepted it by themselves but it was forced on them. Well, protest happens only when Mamta[i have no respect for her as a politician] or Medha patkar go because they need someone to support. When is that in India poor can stand up for themselves???

If not, Govt & Tata thugs have beaten them up and cowed them with their threats. Why are you by large ignoring this fact???

You are hell-bent on not looking into allegation that most farmers give up land only by threat of Govt. This is their sustainable livelihood Samik. None will like to loose it for petty compensation. Will you Samik?

You haven't answered what will that 900 odd families of poor farmers do? You are leaving their fate in air just by saying that they are smart. You cud have just said "what do I care?"

Anyway, you have shown your intentions clear on which side you are. Just know onething - argue like a gentleman without using cheap things like nick names or libelous.
