Seems you have the issues confused. The reason why the car factory is important is because it would lead to employment and would help develop the industry in West Bengal. Whether the car produces a 1Lakh car or a 25Lakh car is not important - what is important is that many people will find employment in the factory.
Your assumption that the farmers are simpletons doesnt do them justice. The farmers are smart - they know which side of the bread is buttered - unlike armchair wild eyed commies like you. No wonder a majority of them have given up their land - taken the money - and enrolled for training and jobs.
The trouble at Singur is carried out by a minority of the farmers - and most importantly by politicians like Mamata. She has been joined by well-heeled commies living in Calcutta - often in upmarket apartments. Then there are people like Medha Patkar who travel 1000s of miles to create trouble.
Let us not be misled - the trouble and protest are planned and carried out by people who have not lived in Singur ( or for that matter any village) - neither do they ever plan to live in rural areas.

what has people like mamta and her likes done for betterment of people in bengal? i am surprised how naive and ignorant people are even today in a age where they can see what goes in the rest of the world.also, when marxists are dead and burried all over, how come they still survive in bengal? it is time central governmet intervenes where the public well being is concerned and charge people like mamta for antinational activiyies!

2. When marxists are dead and burried all over, how come they still survive in bengal? Ans: BECAUSE THERE IS NO OPPOSITION - MAMATA IS THE FACE OF SO-CALLED OPPOSITION. SO YOU CAN REALISE WHY SHE DOESNT GET ANY VOTES AT ALL.
