the so called new law is just a paper tiger with no enforcement mechanism.Rather the govt should create a string of institutions like vishranthi with the support of self help groups in their neighbourhood and who can provide succour to any old person .we have the moral duty to provide a peaceful life during the sunset years.This will be much more helpful than oldage pension which may be used by the socalled relatives

Creating more instituions is also not the solution. People don't have moral responsibilty. Having moral education as a subject in the school is not enough. I remember one elderly person telling me that an ideal society should not have any oldage homes, orphanages etc. Orphans should be taken care-off by each and every home and not by the Govt.
