I experience monsoon flooding in Mumbai since 1974. Such floods occurs once in 20,30,35 years. Now every year people are facing such problems due to mismanagement, high corruption, lack of sincere and dedicated officers. Keeping the city safe is in the hands of 20-30 departments apart from Municipal commissioner, Mayor and Chief Minister. Since no accountability everybody wash off hands. Responsibility of the ward should be with ward officer and elected Corporator and they should ensure that ward area is kept neat and clean and all supplies are well met. Municipal Commissioner and Mayor can interfere anytime if lapses are noticed on wrong doings. Chief Minister should have the last word who can punish the guilty on public demand.
It is absurd to say that this is once in a year problem and is to be adjusted by public. Whoever say that please understand that people spend lot of money to remain healthy on food, exercise etc. only to avoid any sickness like diabetes, heart attack, and take life time policy paying double the premium for 25-30 years and remain healthy and do not die to get the money. Finally architect should plan building layout and ground level height

Govt. not taking tax. What is the govt. duty and also BMC. This is the headache of Govt. not the population. Other state is suffering like Mumbai why ?
