http://www.centurychina.com/plaboard/uploads/1962war.htm just read this link i hope it will clear all doughts abt 1962 war .in fact it was not a war but foolishness of our political leadership who were living in fools paradise and thinking that chinese would not react at all.and with far inferior army trying to fought war with a large superior and heviely equiped army.our army at that time was using world war 1 rifle and also our army didnt had any war experience also a headed by mr koul who was just a fool without any experience of war .no militry intelligence was operational at that time also there was no arms or ammunation was available.our troops were fighting without even proper cloths many got killed due to bad weather as they dint have proper cloths .and abt chinese agression it was more a situation where a weaker person was challenging a world champion to fight .at end of war govt order was just to widraw from boarder coz our army was no match to chinese .and what ever govt history say it was not a chinese agression but a foolishness of nehru and menon ( then defence minister)our history is twisted in such a way that we all made to think that our coutry was attacked by chinese we were not ready to fight as we were supporting peaceful existence with china but fact is that our leadership mistaken china as a weak and thought our army greatest army without equiping it properly .the only gud thing that came out after 1962 was less popularity of nehru and complete change in
