When i read all these bolggers comment here i feel this.

all people here talk bad about Nehur shows that they hate him, why arent they fail to understand thats past that should be used as the rearview mirror and nothing more.
Nehru did many blunders but we must also understand that he had many other priorities, like running a big young couuntry with many issues unemployement, poverty, regional, communist, religion, famine and so many issues on top of that the british devised a real cuning plan if the INdians were able to find a solution for all these they sepearted Indian on religion and created two country, which we are facing it today.

Its also said that he spearheaded Redtape type of govt, he was ready to invite top business men from US and west, all of them made fun of INdian Democracy and was waiting for India to fail.
Inspite of being democracy they helped pakistan and China not India because we challenged the ANglos saxian supermacy and refused to accept it.
SO please stop complainig about Nehru, yes he has made some blunders but has done things to the extent possible with the available resources

yess ss .. u r right, Nehru's contribution was so much that Atomic reserach and Uranium and plutonium mines were discovered by a visiting american team with their President way back in 1952-56. And your great Nehru didn't even allow scientists to vist the place. Thats why Mr. Hargovind Khurana, the noted scientist, had to migrate to USA because your Nehru was laying the foundation of Modern India and ignored the scientist plea to provide him with just Rs 4 Lakhs. So now, u agree or not, u know the reason of great works. One thing your Nehru was really good at mounting on the wife of Lord Mountbatten, although before Independence.
