History Repeats Itself
by Khandu Patel on Jun 30, 2007 05:52 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

This CIA reminder was no doubt timed to remind Bharat of the ever present threat of China. Hearing the inannities from Dr Singh you would think nothing has changed from the days of Nehru.

As before hostile Chinese activities are deliberately being ignored. Congress under Singh is just as spell bound except that unlike before, China is not claiming the maps are old and dated but now have the cheek to claim Arunchal Pradesh as well! If Nehru was plain bad there is no word to describe the present Government. Pathetic is not strong enough.

The Government has desisted from making plains its displeasure because of contracts Indian companies have been securing in China. The plain truth is China's claim on Arunchal Pradesh has followed as logical continuation of its illegal occupation of Tibet. It was that too clever by half Tibet declaration by Vajpayee that has taken us on this slippery rope. Yet Vajpayee is supposed to be other hope for India after Dr Singh.

With calibre of leaders Bharat is producing, we would be better of being run by America. The likes of Dr Singh and Vajpayee have been just too dangerous for the health of Bharat. I am sorry for Bharat's diplomats who have to repair all the damage caused by our so called leaders. It is about time the armed forces stepped in and made good the deficiency in the only way they know how.

I totally agree with you Man.

Dr Singh is a good economist but not a good leader and lacks will power.

Nehru was another day - dreamer who was more interested in Lady Mountabatten and NAM then in the realpolitik of the world.

Our brave army in 1962 fought with 303 rifles and bare hands against entrenched Chinese because our CONGRESSI NETAS were too busy tying their dhotis and ignoring reality.

I have always maintained that CONGRESS is the CANCER of India and I think the day the electorate becomes educated these BS netas will be history.

However to end on an inspiring note please click on the link here to know the inspiring story of Major Shaitan Singh

Pakistan has hardly done badly out of all this. In what other period of history has a country that has been the fountainhead of terrorism been rewarded with billions in aid and lucrative market opportunties? Rome destroyed Carthage for much less.

I am afraid our Hinduism of our priestly class going around with their begging bowls has made it quite natural for our leaders to be beggers. This is all too apparent in the negotiations for the nuclear deal and Arunchal Pradesh.

The fact remains that except for Sikhism, the Hindu polity is fragmented by virtue of the fragmentation of the Hindu religion. What exactly do we get from Hinduism religious tenets in comparison? Caste divides and the better of lording themselves over the unfortunates without any care in the world.

In other ancient religions, the temple was the sacred treasury of the nation which provided for it in its hour of need. Their kings were usually at the heads of the religions. As such concepts is absent in Hinduism, is it any wonder that are politicians are corrupt?

The oracles of the priests at Delphi contributed decisively to Greek success. Our politicians have relied on solely on astrology which has been a poor substitute.

The Greeks recognised the dangers of religion divorced from politics by giving primacy to politics. Indeed the Greek king was shorn of all political power but only allowed to retain his position as chief of the priests.
