India needs to control its population
by mat jn on Jun 27, 2007 02:23 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Take any developed nations in the world, if they enjoy better life and comfort it is because they have less population. Look at any cities in India, forget about the mega cities, even small towns and cities are getting crowded and becoming a difficult place to live due to various factors. If our future generation needs to have a better place to live India really needs to control the population at the earliest possible in every sections of the society and educate them the best possible way. It may take time but in the long run the effort will be rewarded.

Cities in developed nations have a better quality of lifestyle not because of a smaller population but because of better infrastructure and city management. I have lived for many years in cities like London, Bangkok and New York and these are equally crowded and densely populated. But what works in their favour is some decent city planning and also a large amount of social consciousness, both of which are non-existent in our large cities.
