If it's mudslinging, the "CON"gress party should ask Pratibha Patil to file a case for defamation. It can even be a PIL, because she is a candidate for the post of President. If no defamation case is filed, it would amount to acceptance of the charges, and, therefore, Pratibha Patil should step down from her candidacy.
