Maoism - is it terrorism
by brahman on Jun 27, 2007 10:47 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

from what the news item say, it is a bit difficult to brand the Maoists as terrorists - if Maoists are terrorists then what about the WB Government... It is at the behest of Government that the Nandigram incident happened where civilians (farmers) were killed and beaten up. SEZ is another new found way for the government (for selfish monetary gains) to capture agricultural lands from poor farmers in the name of globalisation and industrialisation. If this trend continue hapazardly, the way in which it is adopted and implemented by the state of WB (and Maharashtra too), the day is not far away that India will have only Industries and SEZ and no agricultural land and farming. Terrorists are not born, they are made... when the elected representatives do not give protection and justice to the common man, it is but natural that either they themself take up arms or support the faction which communicated with arms and ammunitions. In India, politicians and ministers (Government per se) are the most dreaded terrorists who loot the common man, farmers in so many ways, draining the government kitty for creating their own empires elsewhere. Most of the NRI investments are the same money which is sent from India, parked elsewhere, to be invested back in India to gain multiplying profits and tax gains.

So you mean that they get the license to kill Inocent people..

You are justifing the act as a retaliation against GOV...but these Maoists and terrorists and involed in killing inocent peoples.

I agree that there are flows the way our Gov is functioning, But it does not mean that every common man took the GUN and start killing Inocent peoples.

sir... unless we have a transparant and sincere ministers and Government in place, it would culminate in to creation of more and more such factions in retaliation... while these groups are not elected or selected or accepted by the public...installing a clean government is always in the hands of the common man....it is high time that we think about a change in the entire system and governance..
