What is there to Salute about them? Are they doing it free? High salary , free drinks, food, place . Hardly any war to fight . It is all play and merry for them.

Army is the last option for the jobless and unemployed.

there is only one way to dispel your misgivings...visit a forward base and see what life they lead...free food? thats 900 pm ...there is no free drinks, subsidised yes but how much..any war??? please go to Kashmir, North East, all border areas...such is life that they now say : better Dead than disabled" not like ur software or MBA inspired job where u sit in a AC room sipping coffee and earning dollars...

as far as entry to services being easy ...let me assure you , your ten generations may not be able to make it to any of the defence services ....not like your AC job that u chuck faster than ur t-shirts....

So dear Krish PLEASE WAKE UP IN LIFE AND OPEN UR EYES TO HARSH LIVES OF THE FAUJIS>>>>...best of luck....

seeing u i m reminded of that movie Lage Raho...

you seem sick...."GET WELL SOON"

Oh really Anand!! I have an offer for you .. atleast put in effort to appear for the selection process of the defence forces ... you will get to know .. what is easier ... getting so called 'brainwork' in the software industry or getting into the army!! You too can then enjoy the 'high salary, free drinks, food, place etc etc' ...
