Thanks to everybody for reading my comments! Has anybody noticed the sms' on NDTV for 'Sunita Didis' safe return? This obsession with "Indian-Origin" people have gone on to ridiculously high levels! I understand the concern about the safe landing of "Atlantis" (because it concerns human lives afterall), but why then is the obsession about Sunita Williams alone? Why not the other crew members too? Sunita is as American as the others! But our Media and most of "Sunita Didi's" relatives think otherwise!

Damn Indians are more obsessed with freakin Sunita Didi Williams... who the hell cares of her, look in your back yard, farmers dying daily and no one cares. Come back safely Didi... we love you !!! what a shame.

Mr.K Reddy, the problem is that our media is not treating it as a case of a 'Woman In Space'! Read through the newspapers or flick through the channels! But then, you are entitled to your own opinion and i wouldn't call it foolish like you have called my comments! Cheers!

I disagree. This is not only INDIANS.... Every country will have their affection towards the people from their home land...
HAMILTON's FERRARI Success comes in every other british paper as if 'UK' has won Ferrari!!
So was the case when an americal school teacher was coming back from her space visit last time...
Emotions are common for people and it is very natural to show special interest in people who have origin from your country...
Of course, when a flight is being hijacked, what happens. Every country talks about their own people.. Right?
How about you man..? You will be thinking about others in the flight or about your own daughter in the flight??

NDTV does it for its own gain. Tommmorow our great lady B. Dutt will have an immotional "We the people" show. All these SMS is highly profitable for both the company and also the channel. So you see the reason.

This is not about Sunita or anyone else on board. Its about raking in the moolah thru SMS. Would people react and send out SMSs to someone other than Sunita???
