I heard from my grandmother that "Rishi & MahaRishi" used to tell that younger child are more intellegent because their one of the teacher is their elder brothers & sisters.

Absolutely you are right. You will notice that horns come later than ears and hence sharper. Likewise younger generation more faster than old generation(as in the case of children are more sharp than parents) due to evolution. Present generation studies are more tougher than older generation.Therefore child is father of the man.
