Better Quit Kalam
by thangaraj vagul on Jun 24, 2007 02:01 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Though Kalam is one of the best presidents we have, I think he spoiled his reputation by expressing his desire to contest again. This stand of him is in total conflict with the visionary kalam we knew in 2002- 2006.What made him to change his stand? Is the yearning to stay on in Rashtrapathy bhavan has consumed the ideals of even person like Kalam? He described Patil as fantastic for presidentship and within two days wanted to be stay put in Rastrapathibhavan.Reminds me of the old saying-Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. There is no exception to this ,including Kalam. What pains me is the advise given by politicians like Pawar and Lallu, of all people, to Kalam to step down gracefully. Kalam is responsible for this. Why president you seem to have lost prudent thinking in those two days. We expected a grand farewell to you but alas by your actions in the last few days you have lost that chance. You will be remebered as one who did everything for nearly 5 years but faltered at the end due to temptation

thangaraj,
If i ask whts yr aim, u may answer - To build a good house, to buy a car or to marry a pretty girl. Wht else can be yr aim.
Go and ask kalam, his only aim is to develop and see india as a great nation. President post is not for his enjoyment, he wants that post just for the improvement of the country
