The greatest menae of terrorism has to be tackled jointly by all suffering countries. India has suffered from Islamic terrorism, Sri Lanka has suffered from the LTTE. Pakistan is suffereing from their home grown terrorists. These three countries together, instead of fighting among themselves, should fight against these terrorist organisations. Few intellegent Tamilians here say that LTTE is fighting for their cause of self right ? Is this the way to fight for a cause by killing millions of innocent people. Islamic terrorists also feel that they are fighting for their religious cause. There are causes for everything. But the chosen path is very dangerous for humanity. Hence, the need to crush such terrorists and the people supporting them.
Moreover, LTTE is more dangerous to India. They have killed our beloved Prime minister - Rajeev Gandhi. They are just waiting to liberate their Tamil land in Sri Lanka so that they can turn their eye on Indian soil. The need of the hour is to crush LTTE. Rajapakshe is doing a great job. With the pace he is going, it is sure that LTTE will be no more after 3 to 4 years time.

LTTe was bornbecisue of decades of Sinhal state sponsored discrimanation of Sri Lankan Tamils . thier lands were forcibly colinised thier language was not givenrecognition even in the Tamil Majority districts of Jaffna Vavunia Killnochhi Mannar Mullaitivu Trincomalle Batticaloa Amparai ( ethnic Sri lankan Tamils and Tamil Muslim) and in the Cetral Highlands where the Tamils of Indian Origin reside . Colombo is aorund 40$ Tamil speaking how many government officers . Police offers are proficient in Tamil. Tami people are dicriminated in the field of education where they have to score higher marks than a Sinhalese person to enter university. 99% if the Police and Army are Sinhalese and its is a written law that only Buddhism is the state religion and only a Sinhal Buddhist can be a head the stae Armed forces and or even a dpeartmental head. The history of Hiduism is far older than Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Ancient Hinu temples of Konneswaran ( of Ramayan fame ) in Trincomalle and Thiruketheeswaram in Mananr and Kthirgammam ( now called Sinhal Kataragama) . Ther was not Ltte when ther were state sponsered massacres of Tamisl in 1958 1977 1983. My house in Colombo ws burnt by Sinhal thhugs and it was supervised by a senior govt minister when somne of my so called Singhala neighbours cheering on. Form 1947 to 1983 all so called peacfull means to get legitimat Tamil rights failed and it was answered by state sponsered brutality. Fighting your legitimate right is not terrorism.

The Sri lankan state has the moral right to trat al lits citizens equally same rights in language education etc. Noit try to supress and annihilate its minorities by tryin gto deny thoer language relgion cuturla rights and make them a minoruty in thier own lands. Do not try ot wilfully confuse this with Islamic terrorism . Other than the Rajiv Gandhi Incident the LTTE has never taken its fight outside Sri Lanka . Islamic Terrorism is just blaming every one else for ills within your own society and bombing and maiming and Killing innocent westerners Indians and others. They want to impose their own values on th the world and the sorry plight of the Palestenians and th ecurrent situation in Iraq has not helped this. The Sri Lankan Tamisl are now fughting for their own survival as people. They have tried all other means and it has not brought any resurl and the world is mainly indiffernt to their plight. th e9/11 bombing has confuse deverything and genocidal and recist governments are usnig this to confuse the world to suprees legitimate grievances of racial linguistic and religious minorities. Leave the Tte aside what has prevented the various Sri Lankan governments form granting the legitimate rights of the Sri Lankan Tamils. we only have quislings who have joined SriLankan government and will moth eanything for their personal gain or the Ltte. evertime the Ltte loses Historical Tamil lands are lost to Sinhghal colonisation .

I understand what you say. But still I feel terrorism is not the solution. This has not solved the problem and will not. The world sympathies are not with LTTE, this being banned as Terorist organisation.
The Tamil population as compared to Sinhalese is very less. As we in India expect the muslims should integrate with the majority, the same way Tamilians should integarte with the majority in Sri Lanka. Everywhere in the world there is a problem when some community wants to dictate its identity on the majority. My religion, my language, my GOD and all those things which are different from the National religion, national language, National GOD. In India we have the nuisance of Muslims where they are trying to force their identity of Allah & Muhammad & their terrorism.
I think, Tamilians need a real leader like GANDHI nad not a terrorist like Prabhakaran. Tamilians should understand this and get rid of Prabhakaran first. Prabhakaran can not be a solution. He will always be a problem for the Tamilians. Tamilians will suffer as long as they support Prabhakaran. Tamilians should integrate with Sinhalese.There is no other way. Separate identities, separate GODs should all be in individual homes.
Muslims in India are a religioud group. there are Tamil Mulims, Kerala Muslims Gujatathi Muslims etc. they are not a homogenous group. A Tamil Muslim has more things commonwith aTamil Hindu or a Christian other than the qusetion of faith ( which is personal) they a common history language culture blood food habbits stc . It is the same with a Kearla Muslim or a Gujarathi Muslim. so it is easy for them to integrate easily with theie local ethnic kin. India at the veery beginning realised unless it is divided into linguistic states it will not survive. This is the the root cause of Inda strength. This is not only in India but in Switzerland Canada, Belgium etc. Countries which tried to forcefully tred to assimilate theor minorities have failed like Ethiopia Rwanda Sudan . More than religion a language and copmmon culture history and customs bids people toghether.
The Tamil SriLanka were never part of the Sinhala polity until the British made both ethe Tamil and Sinhala kingsoms as one country in 1815. As I stated earlier more than 70% of the present day Sinhalses are made up of South Indian Tamils who had gradually come and setteld over the centuries. but they became Sinhalses at their own will. What remains as Tamils are the Tamnils who were never under the Sinhala rule and did not want to become Sihala or Buddhist and forcefully ttying to assimilate them after 2500 years is not going to work. Tamils had a leader like Ghadhi called Chelvanagam .

contd, all thepeaceful andno violent overtures made by him and other leader were spurned, Thugs were sent to assaul them and violence ws unleashed upon innicent hapless Tamils. Tha is the rason the Ltte came into being. The Srilankan Tamils pay taxes more than share and they are entitled to enjpy their share of the benefits too. This is not right not priviledge but we do nto receove it.We are not recent immigrants but have been their for thousands of years and around 18.6% of the population and Tamil is the mother tongue of 25% of Sri lankans.We are asking for are just rights and dignity and there is nothing wrong in that this is not a concession and we dont have to assimilate like a microscopic minority. It is not the Tamils who have the problem it is the Sinhaleseit is they who do not want to live in peace and harmony. At the time of independence Sri Lanka was ahead than many asian countries now due to successive Sinhal governments failed policies and racially targeting Tamils it is now a failed state. Of course moist Tamils know that that the world will not help us,as we are not whites like the Zimbawean farmers or Bosnians or Kosvars( even ith they were Muslims) we will be put inte same scrap heap as the Rwandans Cambodians or Dafur, the poweres including India will see what they can gain from this especially the Strategic Trincomalle disctrict, that is why they are quire about the ethnci cleansing of the original Tamil population and Sinhalised.
