what the bullshit!!! I am not Muslim, but I am nationalist. comments and thinking like yours is definitely anti-national. I have many muslim friends and I do not find any wrong with them. remember religion is a morphin which blinds your rational thinking. muslims are humans too.
I agree there are muslims terrorists but then there are hindus also like naxalites and ULFA. all these people need to be dealt with affirmatived action. If they are wrong they should be dealt hard way. If theie grievances are right they it should be handled except demand for separate land. what we lack is clear nationalistic view irrespective of religion. u may say I am pro muslim, but I would say we should make laws strict for illegal immegrants. deport them, put them in jail as per law, do not allow them to work as per law. i hope you get my thoughts...

Good Sameer...I do accpet that there are ULFa and Naxals. But they dont fight in the name of religions. They dont wage wa against one particular religion. On the contrary they are ateist, they dont belive in God, there are fool who simply oppose any govt., that is all. But you see the case of Jihadis by urself.

I dont mind you reported my post as an abuse; it is your prerogative that the forum board ha given you. I have nothing against Muslims and I just wrote what I felt...

Cheers

Hi Sri ,

" You wrote what u felt" not a reasonable way.....a lot many people do that and end up maligning there cause ..see Osama he did wat he felt was right answer to american presence in the Gulf region....He has his point of view in that sense isnt it!!! but is that OK!!

Hmm I agree that the sample I have is too low to come to a conclusion. But I am seeing what is happening around me Ali. For example let us take Iran. I have many Iranian friends; inclusing my professor.

When there was a bomb blast in Delhi on the eve of Deepawali, I was really upset and when told this to my supervisor, he asked this question to me "Are Muslims resposible for this disgusting act"? I think you can derive conclusions from this. Atleast 75% of Iranians dont want to call themselves Muslims, but their govt will literally kill them (by Law of Shariat) if they convert.

The case is same with My Iraqi friends...I hope my guess may not be accurate but sure it is correct,,,,

Hi Sri ,
Still what you are quoting is the common perception and not the feeling of an average muslim about his religion and how he feels the question of abandoning faith at mass level cant be justified by the fact the local governements are not giving them freedom .Belive me many of your frnds might want to live in a different system of governance but still wont leave ISLAM.

Unfortuantely Islam has second largest following as a religion next to christians ..hence the obvious conflict with the west..and inspite of all this christian population in west is going down and muslim percentage increasing !!! per all the figures ...and by the way who has told you muslim are not secuarist...

yar if u already knew there are secular muslims then y r u preddicting that Islam will be wiped out!! and I agree the muslim internal growth is the primary reason for the being highest growing religion ...but the regions where muslims are growing more are again like Indian Subcontinent where in not only muslims but others have always maintained a relatively higher growth rate compared to the world average always...PLS note even today there are more muslims liveing in the Indian Subcontinet (India Bangladesh Pakistan) then the middle east...
there is more regional aspects with the issue then just garbling it with the name of religion....Please check the population growth of middle eastern countries ..its no where compared to India , Pak , Bangladesh....

There are Secular Muslims indeed and I know many such.....
....By the way, the increase in Muslim population is not due to conversion from other faiths....but it is due to that fact that muslims reproduce more than others. They dont have the concept of birth control....as you would already know...
