Re to the article above, If Sonia prefers a congress candidate, she should consider Ms Margarit Alva. Ms Alva is a South Indian,Christian, Lady, who has distingushed hereself by handling various ministrial as well as congress organisational activities. Also she had handled Rajya Sabha Speaker, apreaciated by Opposition parties. She is quite known lady among Indian polititions. She is hailing from politically known family of Jokim and Margarit Alva, quite close to Nehru and Mrs Indira Gandhi. Her Children are also known in their choosen field, without misusing Mummy's Name.

We had Hindu Brahmin- Both South &North;Sikh, Muslim-Central,North East & South., but all male. No one from Christian religion as well as Women.
Secondly, South President means , Prime minister from North if coalition politics continues. Christian tag obviously a disadvantage for Mrs Alva as normally both president and PM cannot belong to same group in prevaling situation,

Yes, She is the best choice, if this time the post is reserved for women.
Christian but with the tredition of a Hindu, and simple not only in her life but also in making a point.
Let a Christian be given a chance, when the turns of Hindu, Muslim and Sihks are over.
As APJ inspired the nation but for his faith, let us have presidents from all faiths.
As the PM always goign to be either from the majority or the atheist group
