Junk your religions and become rationalists. We will make a new holy book ofd "Rationalism"

LESSON NO 1
"%u2026%u2026%u2026.all religious beliefs are "crutches" hindering the free locomotive efforts of an advancing humanity. There are no problems related to human progress and happiness in this age which any theology can solve, and which the teachings of freethought cannot do better and without the aid of encumbrances."[The Necessity of Atheism by Dr.D.M..Brooks]

LESSON NO 2
"Religion has always aimed to smooth the sufferer's passage to the next world, not to save him for this world."-Dr. D.M.Brooks

LESSON NO 3
"But we are progressing, for in 1300 years no new prophet has arisen, and no new divine revelation is perturbing our race; the old ones, however, are causing quite enough disturbance."

Dear Rational Indian, I totally agree with you. I would request all those who are posting intemperate message in the name of one Religion or the other to read the Book, The Necessity of Atheism by Dr. D.M. Brooks, which is available freely at www.gutenberg.org

Rationalist,
Atheism or rationalism DOES NOT require a holy book...don't you think the idea of a rationalist 'holy book' itself is irrational?

Dear Sargamcola, there are no holy book for atheists or rationalists. These books are exposing the religions for what they are! You cannot counter the arguments of the religious zealots without knowing what is what. Though I do not believe in the dogmas of any religion, I have read the Bible, the Koran, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and parts of vedas and scriptures of other religions to understand what exactly they preach. I have not found any of them even remotely based on science or technology. So all the so-called holy books and the corresponding gods have outlived their utility.
