i think that travelling all the wya acroos srilanka..for ships is a big waste.If we destroy ram setu then we can use it for making our ports better.I think it is just been used as a tool by BJP for next years election.If BJp can destroy a masjid on the basis that a temple was there.Then whats the problem with Govt of India replacing a sand dunes with the sethusamdaram project that will provide livelihood for 1000s of people and the time that is required for ships going all over srilanka..it is a step in the right direction

Why dont we build a canal between Bombat and kolkatta so that the ships can directly get into Arabian Sea instead of even passing through south india, this can give livelihood to tens of lakhs of people instead of disturbing our (HINDU) cultural monument.
