Who ever said democracy was the panacea for all ills ? Adolf Hitler the greatest madman responsible for the largest number of deaths in history (52 million in WWII) was democratically elected in 1933 in Germany. Democracy may be suitable in some countries, but not in others.

Democracy is "the People" in total....when a Politician offers promises to the ENTIRE population, its democracy....as happens in USA & European elections.
When the Politicians offers promisies to certain SECTIONS of the people eg. religion, ethnic, langauage groups etc, then its NO longer democracy....as happens in Indian elections.

Indian mindset is not democratic,hence democracy does not suit Indian mindset . It is basically fuedalistic in approach. Almost not as bad as Africa but bad enough to be unfit as democracy. It is almost jungle raj with so many politicians being criminals and run it as their personal property and public is not having the positive appraoch to tackle the criminal politician nexus thus turning the whole system as poor state of governanace. The congress politicians who have ruled this country for 80% of the time have sucked the blood of India and infected it with such a virus of corruption that it would refuse to go so easily. They ( congress)have practiced the vote bank politics which has divided the society on basis of caste, religion,region and deepily ingraining into the society this cancer which no political party can change. What a contribution by Congress!!!
