Indians and the Indian Government ought to take this issue very seriously. Perhaps China and India are the two most populeous nations where the demographic index is constantly rising. China has controlled its population to a large extent, but India ? we experience the woes in our day-to-day lives. The worst part in India is the vehicle population is outstriping the population growth. Thanks to the era of economic liberalization where middle class families are able to affoard 4 wheelers through loan. The effect is seen on emmission of poiseneous gases by these vehicles, polluting the atmosphere and leading to respiratory diseases. This is very true with Hyderabad, which I feel is the most polluted city in the country.
