Politicians are bikau same way voters are bikau.. It happenes only in goa... people here dont have ny longterm plans... they are happy with their todays "sheetkadi" and glass of beer or feni.. they are least botherd of how they got this independence. They just dont care if some russian mafia is buying any land in goa... or some one is selling their land to "gori chamdi"
We all goans are happy with "sheet kadhi" and "kharya kudko" with glass of beer or feni.

You are right,but in a democracy they have to choose someone,and they choose the lesser of the evils.
