Who is he fooling?
by Mark Zorro on Jun 06, 2007 05:32 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

You should understand it right. What does it mean when they say it's "just a procedure"? There has to be a purpose for the procedure. If you are purifying after a childs vomit or incontinence, it is basically to cleanse it for Hygiene. Which makes lot of sense.

What is the purpose to do "purification" after a "non-hindu" visits the temple? Other then it being a sinister act whose purpose is to hurt/Insult someone not your own ilk.

The Tantri goes on to say Father's Religion does not matter, here in this case it was Ravi Krishna's mother (a christian) being his problem. So what would be his reaction if a some "Khan" visits the temple, but whose mother is a hindu? He being born to a hindu mother.

Any sensible, reasonable human cannot but be appalled by this decision of the tantri. The politician is immaterial, it only helped bring out the bigotry practices indulged by these high priests to the open.

Nobody is fooling man.
Tantri is just following the rules practiced by his family over years.
If you have faith on God and that temple then follow the rules.
Else God exists everywhre, you dont have to go to any temple. Or go to any temple, there are thousands in India.

let a khan first enter my friend! We don't need to entertain arguments for hypothetical situations.

Rajesh, that was one reasonable thought among a bunch of gibberish nonsense and abuses. Like you, I too was in a christian school (because that was the best in our city), remember to have also read biblical history and never once thought of becoming a christian (though many here seem to assume so based on the name).

Every religion today has it's share of bigots and practices that seem to defy & contradict their own core preachings and morals.

The tragedy is they run the show.

So the best a person can do is point them and move on with your more important things of life - family & work.

Seven Maniacs, the "Khan" thingy need not be hypothetical. It could happen. A certain Sarod Maestro, the nation reveres, is married to a Hindu Lady (perhaps a brahmin). According to our tantri, they only look at matriarchal lineage, which means their children would not invite a purification. My opinion (as one decent practicing hindu), allow everyone who wishes to visit and maintain the decorum of the place.

For, A Late Bismillah Khan & Abdul Kalam are devotees of Goddess Saraswathi and are people of great distinction to be cherished for their contributions. It would be a sad day for the nation & hindu religion to see them hurt by overzealous bigots.

i studied in christain school for 15years. but i don't believe in christ or churchs. saw i don't want to enter in churches. if you can't worship the way other religion worship better you not enter to see what is going on. like wise let hindus go in thier temple. if you are beliver of hinduism convert yourself as hindu by going to some arya samaja temple as philip m prasad did legally and then enter temple. jesusdas also can do the same .
why should a christian or muslim goto temple.
if we can't worhsip allah or mohammed we should not goto mosque. but the way vayalar family is treated is not fair. but otherwise no issue.
this is not a big deal...we have sister abhaya got killed, many kashmiris gets killed , many rapes are going on, mammotty and rich film stars are taking away land..none is an issue for most of the guys. because hindus as they or not organisation like muslims and christians any body can talk about them. unfortunately our social organisations and saints like mata, sai etc are cautisus about saying that we need hindu unity.

why do u want to bring Mammootty and all in this. Please forget religion. First of Mammootty just purchased a land not taken up any land. It was illegal property from the prior owner. Why people are hunting on religion even for drinking water?
