i am a Christian with a brahmin backgroung . we were not forced christianity by any one and none of us ever regretted for that sofar.i dont understand why people (hinduvaadies) has nothing to say about the grand scale conversion from christianity to hinduism in europe and us??? i dont believe a few "sundarams or amminies" as (mr gopakumar said)is going to add to christianity as a "religion" at the same time every single soul is very precious to christ.. as it costed hiim his very life to save them of their ways and sins (that include mr. gopakumar.)that is one unique difference i see in christianity.many dont understand that one have to be very privilaged to become a christian.anyway if the Resp. Thantri felt that he had to do so i dont see anything wrong in it and i believe we should take that as a ritual

Nobody is worried about people converting on their own - if you want to be a Christian, then be one, no issues .. but forcing the religion thru muscle or money is the issue

dear kuruvilla:
When you said in your write up Quote" if the Resp Thantri had to do so. I dont see anything wrong in it and I belive we should take it as a ritual" Unquote....you showed that your background is Brahman.Good...You also had stated
that' one have to be previleged to become a Christian".. I felt that YOU DID HAVE TO MAKE SUCH STATEMENTS...to cater to the gallery in your current faith. Pl keep it up...
One more thing....There is no grand scale conversion from Christianity to Hinduism in Europe and US now....as stated by you. It is only a reaction to the current ISKON phoebia and when these neo converts find that they are NOT ACCEPTED among HINDUS they feel dejected. You must appreciate that unlike other religions, including Christianity- YOU CAN BE HINDU ONLY BY BIRTH.........
